MTX

Applications

The networks of automatic weather stations represent an important tool to support the organizations that are engaged in planning, reporting, prevention and control of the territory.

In particular, their implementation allows an efficient and effective civil protection, enabling the monitoring and management of meteorological events through the use of real-time data collected from the stations.

In addition to the activity of collecting and processing of data, the acquisition systems of MTX, on the occurrence of particular climatic and weather conditions, can send early warning messages to the Control Centre while field staff in charge of environmental control can be alerted by means of SMS.

MTX offers automatic measurement stations for the monitoring of all principle meteorological parameters such as:

  • Air and soil temperature;
  • Relative umidity;
  • Precipitation;
  • Wind speed and wind direction;
  • Pressure;
  • Solar radiation;
  • Level sensors.

All sensors are realized in respect of the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) directives.

The measurement stations of MTX can be integrated with appropriate sensors for the detection of meteorological parameters for the monitoring of road conditions: type of precipitation (present weather), visibility, snow level and road surface measurement.
