Rain gauge with datalogger
As a stand-alone solution, MTX proposes its 400 cm² rain gauge integrated with an event datalogger.
The weatherproof, compact event logger registers the quantity, the hour and the duration of rainfall. The stored events are associated to a time stamp in order to allow the analysis of the historical trend of precipitation.
The logger uses a coupler and an optical base station with USB interface for luanching and data readout by a computer. It is housed within the rain gauge body. Data readout can be simply done by removing the funnel from the upper part of the sensor body (this operation is normally done for maintenance purpose).
A powerfull software tool is available for the administration of the datalogger and the representation, the analysis and the export of the collected data. The tool can be installed on PC with O.S. Windows.
The logger is also equipped with a 10-bit temperature sensor. For correct temperature measurement the use of a natural ventilation shield is recommended.
The rain sensor is installated on top of a stainless steel pole (diameter 60mm) with a solid basis (250*250*10mm) that can be fixed to the ground.
